From: Mr V Platt, Hereford Road, Harrogate.
THE Victorians who built the Royal Baths would turn in their graves if they were alive today and saw the state of the main entrance to this lovely building on Crescent Road; it looks like a tip, – no, it is a tip, with a permanently-sited skip filled with rubbish standing outside the boarded-up front entrance, wooden pallets and parked cars create a sorry sight for visitors (it's right next door to the Tourist Information Centre) and residents alike.

In comparison to the fabulously-restored Royal Hall across the road, the Bath's owners, Harrogate Borough Council should be ashamed of themselves and get it sorted, but that would be too much to ask, with a wringing of hands and the old chestnut 'we can't afford it' or 'it's not commercially viable or cost effective' (like lamp posts, lay bys, old people, manhole covers and museums etc).

Well somebody should get their fingers out and at least move the rubbish, it's a blight on the town.

Come on Harrogate Advertiser, take the lead and start a campaign, they might take notice of you whereas they will just ignore a single resident's complaint.
